YOUTH SPOTLIGHT
Champions for a Drug-Free Grant County takes every available opportunity to highlight Youth Partners in Prevention because youth are not the future, they are the now. It’s no secret that youth engagement has been touch-and-go during the ongoing restrictions in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic so we also want to celebrate the ways virtual platforms have kept us connected with youth!

We were recently contacted by an Assistant Girl Scout Troop Leader. Their troop found our website resources helpful as they completed their DEA Red Ribbon Patch! Upon further search one of the Girl Scouts, Michelle, found a guide that she thought should be shared as a resource. We love that she found a local resource here in the Tri-State area found at: https://www.criminalattorneycincinnati.com/blog/2021/01/talking-to-teens-about-drugs-and-alcohol-a-guide-for-parents/
Thank you, Michelle, for being a Partner in Prevention!

We received an email from an educator working with a group of kids on a Youth Advocacy Project for their library’s “Drug Free Kids” workshop. Their research lead them through an exploration of our website resources which they have found to be so helpful, they have bookmarked it for future reference! However, the educator also wanted to reach out on behalf of one of her students, Starla. Starla found a resource that she felt needed to be shared – an informational guide for kids/teens and parents found out at: https://harmonyplace.com/blog/talking-to-teens-about-drugs/
Thank you, Starla, for being a Partner in Prevention and a Youth Advocate that contributes to prevention education!
